Pier to embark on the Radiance of the Seas. It will be your host for delightful dining and creative relaxation. State-of- the-art theatres provide the perfect environment for lavish Broadway and Vegas production shows. Prepare yourself to fully experience the majestic grandeur of Alaska’s endless forests, calving glaciers, plummeting waterfalls and abundant wildlife as we leave the port of Vancouver at 1630hrs. Saturday, 29 July Inside Passage Today you will be cruising the Inside Passage, one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the entire world. It features virtually everything you came to Alaska hoping to see, including rain forests, glaciers, fjords and white-capped peaks. All of which create a setting that’s perfect for viewing whales and sea lions. Sunday, 30 July Ketchikan – Alaska Ketchikan is known as Alaska’s “First City” because it’s the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means “eagle with spread-out wings,” a reference to a waterfall near town. In the early 1900s, when gold was Alaska’s claim to fame, fishing and timber industries were established in Ketchikan. The growth of these industries helped make this Inside Passage port Alaska’s fourth-largest city. The Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian are all a part of the city’s colorful history. Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sport-fishing paradise. Sightseers will be impressed with both the scenic town and its surroundings, especially Misty Fjords National Monument. Monday, 31 July Icy Strait Point – Alaska After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy the incredible scenery before you arrive at Icy Strait Point located near the city of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska, and very near Glacier Bay National Park. Home to a historic cannery, the port’s connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales, orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore. Tuesday, 01 August Juneau – Alaska Early morning arrival in Juneau, the capital of Alaska and which was founded during a gold rush in 1880. Today, the former gold-mining town counts among its riches some of Alaska’s most spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Mt. TWIN EBD

Juneau in the Alaska Panhandle, it faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. Several magnificent fjords are located along the channel coast and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favourite of visitors, is nearby. Wednesday, 02 August Skagway - Alaska When gold was discovered in the Klondike region of the Yukon Territory (just across the border from Alaska), it resulted in the historic Gold Rush of 1898. As thousands of gold-crazed adventures sought the best starting point for their arduous trek, they found the deepest penetration possible by boat was at the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. This is how Skagway was born. Thursday, 03 August Hubbard Glacier – Alaska Enjoy this relaxing day as we cruise the longest river of ice in North America, the Hubbard Glacier. Nicknamed the “Galloping Glacier,” this east Alaskan glacier is rapidly advancing toward the Gulf of Alaska in to a pristine area known as Disenchantment Bay. Its immense beauty and phenomenal blue hues are enchanting, even from afar. The area around Hubbard Glacier is also renowned for its wildlife, where whales, harbor seals and otters swim, brown bears, moose and black-tailed deer roam ashore, and a wide variety of seabirds soar gracefully across the sky.
