What problem was Stethophone created to solve?
“I learned I had a serious cardiovascular condition in intensive care. That is far too late – and it is the problem we set out to solve. We already know how to treat most heart diseases remarkably well. The difficulty is timing: too many people are found only after the window for effective intervention has narrowed. Stethophone exists to move detection earlier, to the moment when a clinician can still change the course of the disease rather than manage its consequences.”
You trained as a lawyer. How did you end up building a cardiac screening tool?
“Law taught me to think critically. Fifteen years in software product development taught me how to turn a hard problem into something people actually adopt. My own experience as a patient gave me the problem worth spending years on. Looking back, those three threads were always going to meet here.”
