RODS DESIGNED FOR MODERN UK FISHING. The Shimano Commercial rod ranges have been designed in the UK specifically for the latest forms of match fishing. They cover modern match techniques on commercial carp waters ranging from small snake type lakes to larger open waters.
SPEEDMASTER COMMERCIAL Speedmaster Commercial is new for this year and offers the serious UK match angler the best rods possible for modern match fishing methods. There are three different styles of rod, each designed with a specific use in mind Pellet Wagglers, Feeders and Light Float. All make use of our exclusive HPC (High Pressure Carbon) manufacturing process. This not only eliminates weak spots, it also means we can use less material in the rods and still retain the strength required. The result of this is a range of rods that are light, slim and perfectly balanced with an almost elastic fish-playing action. The Pellet rods come in two versions, a multilength 9’-11’ (great for short work) and a more powerful 11’ 6” for open water. The Feeder rods cover everything from close tight to island work, to distance feeder fishing with a range of different feeder types. All have three different top sections with built-in quivers, with the 12’/13’ model having larger guides. The Light Float models are for smaller floats and light hooklengths, but can still be used for larger carp if required. All rods are two piece and can be transported made up in rod sleeves.

COMMERCIAL ROD COLOUR CODING Shimano Speedmaster Commercial rods are now colour coded with a coloured whipping just above the reel seat to make different models quickly identifiable. PELLET WAGGLER RODS Designed for fishing pellet wagglers. The 11’ 6” version has more casting and fish-playing power than the 9’-11’. FEEDER RODS Designed for method feeders and bomb fishing on both small and large stillwaters. All have parabolic fish-playing actions. LIGHT FLOAT RODS Designed for fishing smaller wagglers. The lighter action casts small floats well and enables small hooks to be used safely.
