Aspire DX Spinning (page 63)
The new Aspire DX Spinning is one of the first Shimano rods to use the revolutionary 3M Powerlux resin technology. Very few companies can use Powerlux (usually only specialist rod manufacturers) which is a good indication of the reputation Shimano has for quality and innovation worldwide. The new Aspire DX is built using Shimano HPC300 (High Pressure Carbon) with Powerlux resin and takes rod performance to a new level. Stronger, more resilient and with improved sensitivity, this fantastic new rod also features Fuji K-Type SiC guides, a Shimano Power Cork handle and a custom designed Fossil Wood reel seat. The advanced technology, combined with understated graphics, results in a range of rods which will meet the standards of the most demanding of anglers throughout Europe and the world.
Ultegra Fluorocarbon (page 207) Shimano Ultegra Fluorocarbon is a high quality Japanese fluorocarbon main line constructed from different layers to create an extremely abrasion resistant line. The fast sinking, supple nature of this line offers excellent line management on the reel and is finished with a super smooth outer layer for long distance casting. Ultegra Fluorocarbon benefits for extremely low visibility under water, which offers excellent advantages in clear water conditions. 5
