CI4 is a material created by the interfusion of carbon and polyamide. Initially developed by our world leading cycling division for the Dura Ace brace bracket, CI4 is a flagship technology which has now made the transition into the bodies of fishing reels. The result is a reel whose precision inner workings are housed within a totally rigid protective shell, with all the performance advantages of metal, but weighing less than many inferior plastic type materials. Reels with CI4 bodies are amazingly light and offer increased performance benefits across the board.

The body and the rotor are constructed from our exclusive lightweight CI4 composite carbon material which produces reliable strength, but with massive weight savings, making this version of the Stradic perfect for light line fishing, balancing short lure or feeder rods, or when holding the rod for extended periods. With a fast speed 6.0:1 retrieve (4000 model 5.8:1) and AR-C spool for improved casting, the Stardic CI4 also uses Aero Wrap II for superb line lay. Featuring 6 S A-RB bearings plus a roller bearing at the heart of this reel, smoothness is reassuring and inspires confidence when playing fish off the multi-disc front drag.
The established and acclaimed front drag Stradic FD is certainly a reel that has stood the test of time. The latest incarnation of this ‘classic’ features X-ship gearing for efficient power transfer which delivers excellent winding power. The Stradic’s quick speed gear ratio (up to 6.0:1 in the smaller sizes) and double handle (1000 - 4000 models), combine perfectly to produce almost wobble-free super fast retrieves, perfect for feeder or float fishing at range or when working lures at a constant speed. The cold forged AR-C spool and Aero Wrap II line lay results in excellent line lay with all mono and braid main lines. New for 2013 is a single handled 6000 size which offers improved distance casting of feeders and more power when playing larger fish.
