CI4+ - THE FIRST CHOICE FOR LIGHTNESS By using ultra lightweight Ci4+ composite (exclusive to Shimano) in our reel designs, we have pushed the boundaries lightness to new heights. Our ultralight Ci4+ spinning reels (Vanquish, Twinpower, Sustain, Cardiff, Stradic) and the Ci4+ casting reels (Metanium MGL, Aldebaran BFS XG) define a new standard. Shimano has good reasons for providing you with super lightweight reels. Less weight means a total focus on your fishing, in fact you hardly notice the weight of the reel when fishing. In combination with lightweight rods they become part of your body and allow full concentration, even at the end of a long fishing session. This in turn provides you with more casting power for longer casts, plus a much better feeling for the movements of your lure, an extremely enhanced bite detection, even of short strikers or clever trophy fish and overall much more fun. Furthermore our lightweight reels are the perfect match to our JDM rods, such as Zodias, Poison Adrena or Expride. With Ci4+ reel seats, premium micro guide systems, Carbon MonoGrip (Poison Adrena) and extremely lightweight, but powerful, Spiral X and Highpower X technology, these rods create an ‘ultra-light feeling’, even when using a MH or H models.
