No matter where in Glen Ellyn a family lives, children can attend a public school district known for high student academic achievement and growth, a strong sense of community, and active family involvement. Glen Ellyn School District 41 includes four elementary schools and one junior high school on the north side of town. Community Consolidated District 89 serves the southern part of Glen Ellyn and also includes four elementary schools and one middle school. The two districts feed into Glenbard Township High School District 87. District 41 students attend Glenbard West High School, while District 89 students attend Glenbard South High School. Both high schools are known for student success, a focus on college and career readiness, and have recently been included on US News & World Report’s list of the best high schools in the country. Glenbard West celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022, while Glenbard South marked 50 years at the same time.
