– which provides patients at Duke Cancer affordable housing, a healing environment and a positive and supportive community – hosted a benefit gala with more than 370 in attendance at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club on Feb. 8. The night honored Duke Center Institute’s Dr. John Kirkpatrick, and Caring House guest and caregiver Renee Vestal shared her story with attendees. The event also featured a live auction and fund-a-night, emceed by Leland Little Auctions, and music by the band Java. A net of $160,126 raised will go directly to helping cancer patients.
