ach school year, the Chatham Artists Guild sets out to unlock the creative potential of our community’s most promising high school visual artists through its prestigious Emerging Artists Program. The juried initiative helps these gifted young people experience firsthand just what it takes to become a professional working artist. Now in its third year, the EAP includes free workshops focused on the business side of being an artist and culminates in opportunities for students to show and sell their work in professional galleries and artist markets throughout the county. Students are selected to join and then paired with a mentor of their choosing from the guild’s membership. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to get to know these young artists and see them grow
