Food for the Soul PHOTOGRAPHY BY ELLA SULLIVAN

The Chatham Outreach Alliance (CORA) helps provide food to those in need during times of personal economic difficulties. Volunteers gathered at Technology Way in Siler City on June 23 to help distribute food during one of their monthly Mobile Markets. Throughout the two-and-a-half hour event, they distributed shelf-stable foods, dairy, produce and proteins to people in our community. CORA’s Mobile Markets launched in 2019 in partnership with UNC Health and Chatham Hospital in an effort to address the lack of affordable transportation that creates obstacles for some in need of CORA’s services.
