together The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro rallies the community through Big Bold Ideas. The initiative is a “community engagement and goal-setting venture” that began in 2019. Here’s a look at the process and progress so far.
JAN. 31, 2020 The implementation plans for each idea were announced and discussed at the chamber’s Annual Meeting. The three ideas picked were:
OC T. 12, 201 9 The Chamber asks the public – in multiple languages, from Karen and Mandarin to Spanish – to submit ideas such as “build 100 miles of greenways and bike trails by 2030.” A Big Bold Idea is one that will have a lasting and positive impact on our community, is ambitious, measurable and accomplishable, and is something you are willing to work on but cannot accomplish alone.
NOV. 7, 2 019 Hundreds of delegates participate in the Community Selection Conference to talk about and select three outstanding Big Bold Ideas.
