If you have just one day in Seward, you can make the most out of our midnight sun. Check out the Alaska SeaLife Center (p. 61), stroll along the Seward Waterfront Park, explore historic downtown, hunt for murals painted by local artists, enjoy a hike at Exit Glacier, watch the salmon run, or even take a few casts from shore. Many of our tour operators offer half-day trips, like ice hiking, kayaking, and wildlife cruises.
With a week to spend in Seward, you’ll start to feel like a local. Book a multi-day kayak excursion and fall asleep to the sounds of glaciers calving. Charter a multi-day cruise and explore secret coves. Access parts of the fjords that few get to see while staying at a remote wilderness lodge.
