In today's business environment, that is increasingly hard to find in our corpora ons but within Semperfli ‐ that is their core value and is o en men oned to their employees, their pro tyers and their customers. In addi on to that, it is also important to constantly push the boundaries of the product you are offering, constantly looking for ways to improve, to offer something new. Again ‐ that is what Semperfli does very well and is always looking to their customers and pro tyers for input. All this gives a sense of ownership to all involved. And in the end ‐ what they con nue to do is what I feel is offer the very best products to the tyers who u lize what they produce. When Tom looks back on the past 50 years of his me at the tying bench, he is quick to men on about the changes he has seen and the evolu on of the cra . From the days of tying in hand as a young boy with the materials he stole from his mothers kni ng basket and the feathers plucked from the pheasants he and his father shot during hun ng season to today where synthe c materials have evolved to successfully imitate the natural movements of bai ish and insect life ‐ he is quick to men on what tying has meant to him throughout his life. "I feel the very act of tying generates crea vity. The path that one can travel while at the vice is endless and whether you follow a tying pa ern that has been established through genera ons or you create something totally unique and different, I feel that it truly is up to you, the individual. Tying is no different from the ar st who paints or the sculptor who molds clay. It is a cra that is learned and refined through trial and error, which with me, produces a result that the tyer can be proud of."
