After the official split, the Kingdom of the Netherlands will consist of: The Netherlands, Aruba, Curacao, and St. Maarten (where the Kingdom of the Netherlands will still share the island with French St. Martin.) ... The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is currently exploring the possibility of opening a new museum site along the Burlington, Vermont, waterfront. LCMM has been selected by the City of Burlington as the preferred tenant for 7,000 square feet of space that became available as part of a project to redevelop the site of the former Moran power plant. The Moran project already has two other tenants: a fam ily adventure center and the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center. The Lake C hamplain Maritime Museum has proposed that a "Shipwreck Center" would provide an engaging portal into the exp loration of the underwater wo rld through interactive museum displays and attractions on the waterfront. The theme of the site's permanent exhibits will be the storyofLake Champlain's 300+ shipwrecks. Shipwrecks, artifacts, replica vessels, and collections objects will tell the stories of the region's rich maritime history. Craig Kenkel has been selected as the new Superintendent of San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and will assume his duties in May. Kenkel, most recently the Acting Deputy Superintendent of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, spent eigh t years in Omaha as C ultural Resources Program C hi ef of the Midwest Region of the National Park Service. He has been the Chief of C ultural Resources at Golden Gate National Recreation Area since 2005. USS Constitution Museum in Boston has named Anne Grimes Rand as its new president. Rand h as been with the M useum for 23 years, beginning as curator and most recently serving as executive vice president. Rand succeeds Burt Logan, who led the organization from 1995 until November 2009, when he left the USS Constitution Museum to become Executive Director and CEO of the O hio Historical Society in Cleveland.
