UCF Downtown, in partnership with Valencia College, brings more than 7,000 students to live, learn, and work in downtown Orlando, creating a game-changing campus in the heart of our great city. Made up of several buildings, the new shared campus incorporates innovative technology to create a 21st-century learning environment.

DR. PHILLIPS ACADEMIC COMMONS SERVICES

Addition Financial Downtown Campus Library

The library offers services including book checkout, DVDs, course reserves, printing/ copying/scanning, study spaces, computers, and research assistance. Students can use the library website to chat with a librarian and access databases for publications and journals.

Learning Support Center & Writing Center

The Learning Support Center at UCF Downtown is administered by Valencia College in partnership with the Student Academic Resource Center (SARC) at UCF. Learning Support offers both online and in-person tutoring services for upper and lower-division courses. They also provide one-on-one coaching for students interested in enhancing their study strategies and developing a plan for academic success.

There is also a Writing Center to help with various types of writing, including analytical papers, essays, resumes and more. Writing consultants help students with brainstorming ideas, outlining essays, creating drafts, and provide guidance on grammar, punctuation, style, and formatting.

IT Support & Tech Lending

IT support and tech lending can help students with troubleshooting issues with their computers and borrow technology like cameras, MacBooks, laptops, cables and more! IT Support can also provide troubleshooting for free printing and pay-for-print services.

As a 21st-century campus, we have infused technology into our infrastructure to create secured access to campus buildings after hours. Access is managed using the UCF Card which also serves as your campus photo ID.

Parking Services

Parking Services provides students information about transportation and parking. UCF Students are able to use the UCF Downtown Express Shuttle to get to main campus and vice versa. Students are also able to purchase a parking permit to park on UCF campuses.

First Stop

First Stop is a one stop shop for enrollment services and can answer many of your questions as a new student on campus regarding UCF Undergraduate Admissions, Student Financial Assistance, and the Registrar’s Office.

Housing and Residence Life

UnionWest at Creative Village (UWCV) is UCF’s newest student resident community. UWCV is a 15-story building with restaurants on the ground floor, student services, classrooms and amenities conveniently located on floors 1–5 and student residences on floors 6–15.

Student Engagement

Student Engagement provides students with the opportunity to become actively involved on and off campus through events, activities, and student clubs/organizations. This area also includes programming and services from LGBTQ+ Services, the Multicultural Student Center, and Social Justice and Advocacy. Student Engagement offers free printing and free testing supplies at the UWCV 2nd floor front desk.
