Transport to Scotch

Getting to Scotch

With bus and train stations within metres of our grounds, the College is easily accessible on Perth’s public transport network.

We provide a subsidised bus service for our students living in the Subiaco, West Leederville, Floreat, Nedlands, Duncraig, Karrinyup, Doubleview, Scarborough, Wembley Downs, City Beach, Swanbourne and Mount Claremont areas. We also offer some shuttle services between our sister school PLC and Scotch. Some of the services are shared between PLC and St Hilda’s.

We regularly review passenger numbers on all the routes to ensure as many students as possible can access the services. While we make every effort to facilitate this, we are not able to meet every individual need.

If you have feedback or would like further information, please get in touch at: plcscotchbusservice@scotch.wa.edu.au

All bus services in the afternoon depart from the slip lane on Shenton Road outside our Middle School.

Bus tickets

Our dedicated bus routes cost $2.50 per trip.

All tickets can be purchased as online bus credits through our bus provider, Horizons West. The bus trip cost will be automatically deducted from your Horizons West account. Please note: you can not use SmartRider credits on Horizons West buses.

How to purchase bus tickets

Set up an account on the Horizons West website and then add funds to your new account.

You will be able to link the Horizons West account to a student’s SmartRider, which they use to tag on and off.

SmartRiders can be ordered through the Junior and Middle School Reception and Student Services in Senior School. Please note, SmartRiders are also used in the school canteen for purchasing food and there is a separate FlexiSchools platform for uploading canteen-specific funds.
