MB Devtour The stainless-steel Devtour is the momentary state of the art in exhaust development at MRB. Its predecessor, the MB3, already produced very convincing results with superb peak performance and a wide-spread powerband. The Devtour has been improved in many details, which shows especially in the extremely sturdy stainless-steel brackets and bolts the exhaust is mounted with. The exhaust is now produced to MRB's designs at Scorpion, the UKs largest manufacturers of exhausts, and the result of this cooperation is a tuning exhaust of superior quality. There is enough clearance to all sides and spring-held slip-joints provide a 100% tension-free fit. The exhaust protrudes a little further back than the numberplate, but still gives a very clean look as neither floorboards nor side-panels need to be modified to fit. Even six-plate clutches, shortened or raised cylinders can be used without problems proof of the dedication to detail and quality at MRB. The pipes have been tested extensively both on the dyno and on the road. The Devtour makes peak power between 5500 to 8000 rpm, which means that even as a touring exhaust it will produce a good top speed - with a 4.80 gearing in fourth gear, this equals 90 to 130 kph. And there is enough torque available to open the throttle at 50 kph in forth gear and accelerate straight away without having to change back to third. For cast iron barrels there is the Racetour exhaust available. The performance output is very similar to the Devtour. But the Devtour is performing slightly better on reed valve engines and the Revtour performing slightly better on piston ported engines. JL Pipes The JL KRP1 is the perfect exhaust pipe for all standard or semi-standard cylinders. It has an even spread of power throughout the whole rev-range which allows for gear changes at low revs. Compared to the Clubman you gain a reasonable increase in power on a Stage 4 cylinder without a change of the powerband. Runs also very well on the cylinder kits for the small block engines. The JL KRP2 is a very revvy exhaust which is ideal if you want to reach for the limits of a TS1 or Imola kit. Figures beyond the magic barrier of 10.000 rpm are not unheard of. Not the perfect choice however if you want to go touring with a lot of luggage, as the powerband is rather narrow.

The JL Road (also referred to as KRP3) is a copy of the old Taffspeed Road design by Jim Lomas. It is also designed to produce power at low revs wich gives a relaxed ride. The power delivery is slightly higher in the rev range compared to the Mk4. Nevertheless the JL Road is a very good exhaust for touring and two up riding. Also similar to the Taffspeed MK4, it can be used with a tall gearing for high touring speeds at engine-saving revs, both on a cast-iron barrel or TS1. The built quality is up to high standards giving an easy fit. All JL pipes are delivered with an exhaust manifold for cast iron as well as for TS1.
