MICHELLE CHRISTOPHER was appointed Judge of the Provincial Court of Alberta on November 6, 2018. She is the first female judge of the Judicial District of Medicine Hat. She sits in all seven of the courts in the province’s southern region, including Medicine Hat, Brooks, Lethbridge, Taber, Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod and Cardston.

CANDACE THOMAS was named a Chatelaine 2019 Woman of the Year. She was also appointed Nova Scotia’s Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Minister of the Office of Social Innovation and Integrative Approaches. In July 2019 she was elected Chair of Dalhousie University’s Board of Governors.
