With ‘Leaderlike You!’, Robert Kahn has developed a communication and leadership concept consisting of numerous influential and pragmatic models and a business toolbox designed to induce growth. He has developed the model from over 30 years of research – with phenomenal results. Robert Kahn has an international and intercultural focus: “I combine my naturally positive mental attitude and respect for other cultures. I am a French and a US citizen: I lived in the United States, where I was born and raised, then completed high school in Mexico before finishing my university degree back in the USA,” says Robert Kahn. After working in the restaurant business for seven years, learning the 112 | Issue 80 | November 2019
fundamentals of leadership and management, he moved to Europe in 1984. Robert Kahn’s goal is to help his clients to become the best versions and expressions of themselves. He helps them to find their true potential – even if they do not see it in themselves, yet. “That means helping people move from unconscious reactions to conscious responses,” and thus to designing their own lives. “As coach and trainer, my star skills are my positive mental attitude, my ability to enthuse and fire up people to selfreflect – and then enable them to change behaviours as needed,” says Robert Kahn. Teamwork is not always a given default setting in companies, this is why Robert
Kahn works with leaders and their team to make them understand how they interact as a unit and how personal preferences might subconsciously influence actions. Moving a team from conflict to resolution is key. “In many of my programmes I combine Non-Violent Communication and the tenants of Neuro Linguistic Programming,” he says. Core aspects are how to positively influence customers, colleagues and subordinates, how to present ideas more compellingly and handle difficult topics while reducing nervousness. What makes Robert Kahn special is his ability to connect on a deep level and tailor everything to the client, making sessions authentic, interactive and fun.
