and commercial spaces on former industrial wastelands. “Housing brings a new
use to these quarters. Private and public space, living, working and leisure begin to mix,” says architect and managing director Roberto Pelizzari. In once neglected areas, new urban quarters are established. Urban development and spatial planning are important factors that architecture has to take into consideration, says Pelizzari. “Architecture has to be timeless and modern, neither fashionable, nor intrusive.”
