Cornelius Dönnhoff and his team cultivate 30 hectares of Riesling grapes on ten Grand Cru sites in the Nahe Valley, one of Germany's most northerly wine regions. Dönnhoff wines are characterised by perfect clarity, freshness, finesse and elegance. “Another characteristic of our wines is their ability to mature and develop over long periods of time. GREAT WINES, GREAT AWARDS As mentioned at the beginning, the amount of love, care and knowledge that the Dönnhoff family puts into the vinification of their wines does not go unnoticed. It is not only the Eichelmann wine encyclopaedia that lists the Dönnhoff winery with five stars. The wine guides Vinum and Falstaff have also rated the estate with five stars. Gault Millau awards five plus stars. In Wine & Spirits magazine's Top 100 Wineries, Winery Dönnhoff ranks first among German wineries. The FAZ honoured Helmut Dönnhoff, the father of the current owner, for his life's work as a winemaker, and his son Cornelius was named Winemaker of the Year by the magazine. These are outstanding honours indeed!
