A YOUNG AND EXPANDING GALLERY

The galleries showcase the work of contemporary artists from around the world at vernissages, midissages and finissages, as well as at a wide range of other events. Live music, performances, live painting, discussions, readings and lectures round off the attractive programme organised by gallery owner Roland Puschitz.

Among the many artists who have exhibited at Puschitz are Annika Korbitsch, Richard Jurtitsch, Giuseppe Fiore and Johanna Finckh. The gallery owner seems to have hit the zeitgeist with his approach. His concept is convincing and Puschitz's vernissages are very well attended.

How did the idea for the Atelier Galerie concept come about? "After more than 27 years as a botanist, artist, landscape, interior and theme park designer in Austria's largest leisure company and with the desire for independence, the path to a studio with an integrated gallery was almost mapped out," laughs the owner. 42

What makes his concept so attractive and interesting for artists and art lovers alike? The development of Puschitz's successful approach remains exciting. "It is my intention to give promising artists the opportunity to develop further, to exhibit their work in my galleries and to make these exhibitions even more attractive with events as an inspiring supporting programme. It was clear from the beginning that Puschitz doesn’t just want to exhibit established artists but that he also wants to give the new generation of artists at Vienna's art academies a chance for high-profile solo exhibitions. “This is how the Atelier Galerie and the other two galleries quickly became my main focus,” he recalls.

Located close to Schönbrunn Palace, the Atelier Galerie Roland Puschitz opened in spring 2021. Together with its creative offspring 'Private Gallery Roland Puschitz' and 'Pop Up Gallery Roland Puschitz' it shows monthly changing solo exhibitions. These range from traditional exhibitions to colourful, dynamic presentations.
