"To have ideas, it’s phenomenal! There is always something new and new challenges to master, and that makes my life so very interesting," Blechschmidt enthuses. With his latest collection, the designer sets new standards again – a combination of art, architecture and the eternal search for the perfect 'house' for the body. From his early passion for designing and sewing clothes, the successful fashion label of Raphael Blechschmidt quickly emerged. "Inspiration comes from everything you see, experience and feel," the Basel-based designer says. "It's the zeitgeist that influences and shapes a creative person. A writer expresses this with words, we do the same with clothes. The older I get, the more I feel, I see and want to implement it." This philosophy is reflected in his works, which are not only fashion, but also a form of self-expression. Raphael Blechschmidt's latest collection is an homage to the architecture, nature and design of the unique Novartis Campus.
