“If you draw a circle around Dronten, a lot of the Netherlands’ most wonderful attractions are within 100 kilometres of that circle,” begins hotel owner Victor Troisfontaine. “Within no time you are in Amsterdam, you can see the Ijsselmeer, or you can visit attractions such as Bataviastad, Walibiworld, Lowlands Festival, or Dolfinarium Harderwijk.” This does not mean that Dronten itself is not worth visiting. Hotel Het Galjoen is a short stroll away from the town’s scenic square, a shopping centre with more than 100 shops, and cultural centre De Meerpaal.
