Surprisingly versatile Ask a random Dutchman to describe the province of Friesland and chances are that he will respond by referring to it as an open area with lots of water. At merely an hourâ€™s drive from Amsterdam, head-neck-body farms take up seemingly random spots in the vast green countryside.
