With its new lakeside chalets, Insel der Sinne has expanded its offering even further. “The chalets provide an extra level of privacy and freedom,” remarks Henry Hedrich. “These luxurious holiday homes are located directly on the waterfront and combine private retreats with the comforts and services of the nature hotel, including private saunas, fireplaces, spacious living areas and, in some cases, even private bathing cabins in the garden.”

One of the nature hotel’s defining features is its exceptional location directly on the lakeshore. “We deliberately chose a restrained approach to architecture and design,” explains Ina Lachmann. “Natural materials such as wood, moss, slate and stone create a peaceful, clean atmosphere that encourages guests to slow down and feel completely at ease.”

Conscious culinary enjoyment is another essential part of the Insel der Sinne experience. At the Seelounge Restaurant, whose terrace extends over the water, high-quality ingredients are combined with creativity and lightness. “Our guests are particularly captivated by the sunsets,” adds Ina Lachmann. “At that hour, the lakeside setting feels more like Lake Garda than eastern Saxony.”
