THE PIONEER OF WEDDING PLANNING As an Austrian pioneer of wedding planning, Elisabeth Brandl has been crafting unforgettable weddings with expertise and a keen eye for detail since 2007 – each one as unique as the couple at its heart.
When Brandl founded Wedding-Vienna in 2007, the job of wedding planner was virtually unheard of in Austria. “Together with a small group of colleagues, we paved the way,” she explains. “Initially, most of my clients were international couples choosing Vienna for their big day. Communication was limited to phone calls and emails, and I usually met the couples for the first time just before their wedding. The trust they placed in me inspired me even further to help them navigate this special time with joy and calm.” 42

Nearly 20 years ago, Elisabeth Brandl sought a career change after her time in event management but didn’t really have an idea what that could look like – until a chance encounter in Tuscany with an American wedding planner transformed her path. This planner had turned an old farmhouse into an elegant wedding venue. “The blend of music, fragrances, colours and emotions was simply WOW!” Brandl recalls. “Within seconds, I made my decision: I want to do that.”
