work study To participate in the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Work-study Program, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. If eligible, you may qualify to work at Trustees Theater, the SCAD Museum of Art, or SCAD art galleries and exhibitions, or as a reading or math tutor in elementary schools. You should apply for available positions at the beginning of the quarter or break period for which you’d like to work. New students who are eligible for student employment can apply via MySCAD after orientation. Each student can work a maximum of 20 hours per week in a variety of positions around the university, and is typically paid federal minimum wage. Log in to MySCAD, select the My Info tab and go to the Student Employment channel to find available positions and requirements.
