TOMMY DOUGLAS COLLEGIATE

Our School Community

Tommy Douglas Collegiate opened in August 2007 and is Saskatoon Public Schools’ newest high school. Tommy Douglas is part of a unique facility (called the Blairmore Integrated Facility) that brings together Saskatoon Public Schools, the City of Saskatoon, and Saskatoon’s separate school division in partnership to provide a destination centre for city residents. We are delighted to be part of this one-of-a-kind facility, and are thrilled that our students and community have access to all that it has to offer.

At Tommy Douglas, we offer programming to meet the needs of many students. We offer a broad-based curricular program that allows students countless choices in electives. We also offer enriched and honours programs leading to optional Advanced Placement courses in a student’s Grade 12 year.

Our French Immersion Program

Tommy Douglas Collegiate offers French Immersion from Grade 9 to 12. Students’ French language arts and history classes are exclusively in French, while the science and math courses vary in language depending on the year. The students enrolled in the French Immersion program will receive the opportunity to further explore their language development and cultural understanding both nationally and internationally.
