MALTA — This month, the Malta Sunrise Rotary donated $800 to Qholaqhoe Mountain Connections (QMC), bringing its total donations to the group to $3,200 since 2014. The QMC group focuses on educating students — mostly in high school and a few in college — from a rural, mountainous area

of northern Lesotho. Lesotho is a small, poor, landlocked country in southern Africa. The Malta Sunrise Rotary Club meets on Thursday mornings at 7:15 in the Malta Diner at Routes 9 and 67. Guests and prospective members are always welcome to attend.
