The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is thrilled to welcome back FOLDED HILLS WINERY . Returning for the second year as the club’s official winery sponsor, owners Andy and Kim Busch have a long tradition of polo and wine, which continues to make them the perfect pairing for the club. Folded Hills wine is a tribute to family—past and present. Andy and Kim found their place at Folded Hills after falling in love with the Santa Barbara lifestyle. They both decided they wanted to raise their family on the California coast and share with their kids the hard work and joy that comes with ranch life. They poured their love into their land, and in 2014, after walking their hills and studying their soil and microclimate, they planted their first grapes: Grenache, Syrah, and a collection of Rhône whites. In addition to providing Folded Hills wine at Sunday polo this year, they have opened their first tasting room in Montecito. Next up is their estate tasting room, set to open this summer, for those looking for an adventure in wine country. “Our goal was to make a great wine that was easy to drink and pair with food—a wine made naturally in the French style so it would not overpower whatever dish you were serving,” says Kim. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously. No wine snobs here, just absolute best practices, with lots of heart and soul.” Polo guests can look forward to sipping these subtle and delicious wines all season long. Be sure not to miss the Folded Hills Pope Challenge on opening day Sunday, May 5. 1294 Coast Village Rd., Montecito, 805-694-8086. F O L D E D H I L L S .CO M
