Perhaps the poster children for reality television as we know it today, self-indulgent and outrageous, Heidi and Spencer Pratt have waltzed on to society’s center stage once again, nearly ten years after the original Hills went off the air. In the last decade, Spencer and Heidi have become Central American dwellers, Carpinteria locals, new parents, and business owners, all leading them back to Los Angeles where they first made their names. For two

people who lived their lives on-screen, the action off-camera more than measures up to the plots we watched from our living room couches in 2008, and we are elated to see this duo make their re-entry into the spotlight. My phone blinks a Beverly Hills area code and I answer to Heidi’s cheerful voice, one millions have come to recognize, now greeting me directly. “Hi! We’re ready for you.” The two are multi-tasking, managing dogs, a toddler, and a business, all while willing to fill me in on the last ten years. Heidi starts at the beginning, with what brought them to Santa Barbara in the first place, telling their side of the stories tabloids once attempted to spin.
