Sam Menzin

Sam Menzin is a sports executive, entrepreneur, and baseball advisor with expertise in recruiting, player acquisition, contract negotiations, and sports operations. As founder and CEO of Campus Edge Baseball, launched in 2025, he built a recruiting and advisory platform that helps student-athletes pursue college baseball opportunities through personalized guidance and technology-driven solutions. He created a recruiting system featuring athlete profiles, coach and school databases, school-match tools, and planning resources designed to improve exposure. Sam oversees sales, marketing, website development, social media, analytics, financial tracking, client onboarding, video optimization, coach relationships, and NCAA compliance. He partners with showcase events and maintains relationships with D1, D2, D3, and JUCO coaches, using data-driven campaigns to increase recruiting engagement. Menzin also serves as an analyst with Woods Capital and leads SJM Sports, advising investors and ownership groups evaluating sports assets and acquisitions. Sam played four years of baseball at Swarthmore College and earned the 2012 Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Award. While in college, he worked at the Complete Game Institute, managing a pitching biomechanics facility and operating camps. His early career included internships with the New York Mets, Turner-Gary Sports, and the Detroit Tigers. Menzin supported corporate sales, salary arbitration, market analysis, negotiation preparation, and player evaluation. He then spent 14 years with the Detroit Tigers, advancing to VP and Assistant General Manager at age 31. He led teams across scouting, medical, performance, and player experience and managed more than $100 million in capital initiatives. Sam Menzin earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Psychology from Swarthmore College, studied abroad in Rome, and is completing an Executive MBA at Baruch College, expected in 2027.
