His involvement at MGM was foundational until he transitioned during the COVID pandemic to a consultancy role, aiding a prominent U.S.-based slot machine company and its private equity partner in assessing online gaming prospects. Subsequently, Sam was appointed head of product and strategy at Caesars Interactive, becoming one of the foundational executives tasked with shaping the company's direction. His responsibilities at Caesars were extensive, covering the evaluation of the pivotal acquisition of William Hill and spearheading strategic initiatives related to significant partnerships with ESPN and the NFL. He was also central in orchestrating market access agreements with third-party operators and played a crucial role in overseeing various mergers, acquisitions, and investment strategies for the company. His leadership extended to co-managing the investment in Superdraft and participating on its board. After his impactful tenure at Caesars, he co-founded Manifold Trading, a crypto start-up specializing in quantitative and high-frequency trading strategies that continues to operate successfully. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to help spin off a technological arm from Manifold, which transformed into Ather Technologies.
