Salus University is fortunate to be located in an area that boasts ample, affordable living accommodations and easily accessible public transportation. While there is no on-campus housing, there are a variety of options for Salus students within close proximity to the Elkins Park campus. The Office of Admissions is available to assist students with finding housing and roommate opportunities and to provide you with support throughout your relocation process to the greater Philadelphia area.
FINDING A PLACE TO LIVE MySalus Student Portal The MySalus student portal, which can be accessed from the Salus website, provides several resources for matriculated and current students, including a housing and roommate match service under the Student Housing site. Once you accept a seat in the entering class, you will receive a username and password to access MySalus and the housing site. The site contains a list of more than 50 locations where you can rent a room/apartment. Prices range according to amenities, size, etc. Many of the listings are public, but there are also private listings from Salus University employees who prefer renting to Salus students.
Most of the Salus University student body live within a 10 mile radius to the Elkins Park campus. Some live within walking distance; however, many students drive or carpool to campus (parking is free). You may also want to expand your search outside of this radius to find the living arrangements that best suit your preferences. Be sure to keep in mind typical traffic conditions and commute times.

SEARCHING FOR A ROOMMATE? In addition to finding places for rent, the Student Housing site (under the Student Affairs tab within the MySalus portal) allows you to create a profile so that you can find someone with similar lifestyle preferences regarding neatness, study habits, carpooling, etc. You will be able to see other students’ preferences as well as their class year and preferred budget.

When searching for a roommate, you will be able to view all information provided by students who have already registered. Information changes frequently, so it is advisable to check the housing site often until you have made your arrangements. The site is refreshed with new information for the upcoming cycle each January.

Class Facebook Groups Each program will have an accepted student Facebook group page that includes members of the program’s current first year class council, as well as other accepted students.
