Bob Brown has worked for Truckee Tahoe Lumber & Design Center (TTL) for two years, having worked in the Truckee market since 1993. At the young age of 19, Bob started in the lumber industry and was shortly promoted at age 23 to inside sales. He is a top producing representative at TTL. The motivation for the Monte Carlo home was to create an attractive space that maximized views and had functional indoor/

outdoor living for the residence on the top floor and space for hosting and entertaining family/friends on the bottom floor. They spread the home across the very wide lot and provided amazing views from almost every room. Bi-fold and large sliding glass doors open the living/dining areas to the large deck. Downstairs has a large multi-purpose area with a TV/home theater area, game room, and wet bar as well as a second master suite and three additional/bedrooms.

Some special details include the front water feature, the entry bridge, cantilevered structure, elevator, large pocketing glass doors, wide fire lace an fire it T e o en ri er tair an gla wine room are key ocal oint t at len to t e o en eel, w ic allow natural lig t rom the window walls to permeate throughout the home. MWA, Inc. Architecture - Engineering and GLA Morris Construction came together to design and build the last building at The Rock. The inspiration for this award-winning building

draws from two places. First, the western end draws from an industrial cluster of stacked rusty shipping containers inspired by Truckee’s casual industrial heritage. Second, the eastern portion of the building draws from mid-century modern architecture that has become popular in the local higher-end neighborhoods. Sotheby’s, the tenant, requested this style to help brand their presence and link to this market sector. MWA was committed in selecting e terior fini e t at woul ot integrate wit ot er uil ing at The Rock while also setting it apart.
