Moving the hoops ensures that manure is spread across pasture lands resulting in fresh forage. Chickens also disturb the soil, making for better grass roots. Better root systems lead to more abundant green growth, which means cattle are provided more food in the same space. The robust root systems also effectively sequester carbon.
