Lower Workers’ Comp Rates The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) lowered workers’ comp rates by 8.4 percent overall. Rates will go into effect beginning on January 1, 2023 or whenever your workers’ comp policy renews. Again this year, FRSA President Matt Criswell testified before the OIR, asking for stability in the rates or a rate freeze for roofing classification code 5551. With the uncertainty in the insurance market, FRSA supported rate consistency for the coming year. We

reached out to members asking for their support by contacting the OIR with the same message. Many thanks to all who sent emails and letters. Looking for workers’ comp insurance with exceptional customer service, a drug-free workplace program and the potential for dividends?
