ox Run Golf Club in Ludlow, Vermont, is a breathtaking 18-hole golf resort that incorporates natural elements from the Green Mountains and the Okemo Valley, attracting visitors from all over New England and beyond. It is 6 acres in size and allows golfers to practice on grass tees or mats. Their chipping area includes a putting green, a pitching area, and several manicured practice bunkers. During the winter and inclement weather, they have an indoor golf simulator and an indoor practice putting green, which allow participants to virtually play more than 20 courses. Their new Field of Games includes bocce courts, horseshoe pits, and cornhole toss. During the winter, visitors can also visit Fox Run’s Nordic Center, which features 7 kilometers of well-marked and manicured Nordic Track Trails and skating lanes that wind along the Black River. Fox Run also offers snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Troy Caruso bought the resort in April 2021 and immediately began improving it, from new GPS-tracked golf carts to a total renovation of the restaurant Calcuttas, which includes a bar, fullservice restaurant, and a patio. After a round of golf, golfers can relax with a glass of wine, live music, and a delicious meal. On the patio, guests can relax by the firepits and take in the amazing views of the golf course and Okemo Ski Mountains.
The restaurant is led by Andrew Molen, a rising culinary star who previously worked at East Hampton landmark The Maidstone Inn. Andrew has made an impact as a leader at some of New York’s finest restaurants, including The Plaza Food Hall (The Plaza Hotel), Sunset Beach (AB Hotels), Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (The London Hotel), and Todd English Enterprises. Fox Run just opened one of the two new restaurants they have been working on, the Alta Tuscan Grille. Andrew Molen will also be at the helm of the modern Italian steakhouse and bar that offers a wonderful collection of perfectly cut meats, fresh fish, and creative pasta dishes.
