Metairie Bank has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2020 honor by The Times-Picayune and The New Orleans Advocate. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

Two Jefferson Parish Schools have proved themselves as top performers in the state. Haynes Academy and Patrick Taylor Academy had two of the top three 2019-20 average ACT composite scores in Louisiana’s schools. Haynes Academy holds the top spot, ranked at number one with a composite score of 29.9. Patrick Taylor Academy ranked at number three with a composite score of 29.

Tulane Lakeside Hospital became the only Jefferson Parish hospital to earn the Blue Distinction Center + for major orthopedic joint replacement. Facilities designated as Blue Distinction Centers® for Knee and Hip Replacement demonstrate expertise in total knee and total hip replacement surgeries, resulting in fewer patient complications and hospital readmissions.

For six consecutive years, the Baton Rouge Business Report has recognized BXS Insurance’s Baton Rouge and Gonzales offices as a Best Place to Work in its large company annual rankings. In large measure, this award is based on anonymous employee responses to a third-party administered survey. BXS Insurance is proud and honored to once again be named to this list.

Each year ACEC of Louisiana presents this award to recognize the accomplishments of a young professional engineer who is contributing to the engineering profession and demonstrating the ability to positively impact the community through professional accomplishments and community involvement. The past presidents of ACEC of Louisiana selected Brian Moldaner P.E., M.B.A. of T. Baker Smith, LLC as the 2020 award recipient. Brian, a native of Jefferson Parish, has made a positive impact on our community through his work as a civil engineer and through dedicated involvement with several civic, business and philanthropic organizations.
