Best SUSHI/JAPANESE Editors’ Pick: Matsuhisa It’s Nobu. We could stop there, but we won’t. Executive Chef Toru Watanabe is unstoppable with his New Style Sashimi with thinly sliced salmon, whitefish, scallop, or beef, brushed with garlic puree, garnished with ginger pins, chive, and sesame seeds, lightly seared in sesame and olive oil, finished with a yuzu-soy sauce. Or the Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño with thinly sliced yellowtail, brushed with garlic puree, garnished with Serrano pepper and cilantro, finished with yuzu-soy sauce.
