DIVE POSITIONS
3 POSITONS ALL THREE POSITIONS (STRAIGHT, PIKE, TUCK) MUST BE SHOWN.
PIKE With knees straight but a tight bend at the hips.
BARANI One somersault forward rotation with a ½ twist. The entry manoeuvre allows the athlete to see the water for as long as possible.
BLIND ENTRY The last time the diver sees the water is at least half a somersault before entry and hence lines up “blind”.
TWIST The body twists on axis whilst rotating. The record number of twists is currently 5.
STRAIGHT With no bend at the knees or hips.

Tuck Body folded up into a tight ball, hands holding the shins and toes pointed.
FREE Body position is optional but the legs shall be together and the toes pointed.
Sommersault The diver rotates head over end, forwards or backwards. The record number of somersaults is currently 5.
25 FLYING Dives consisting of at least one complete somersault performed in the straight position, maintained for not less than 90° of movement. The straight position must then be followed by either tuck or pike position.
