Receiver Mark Adams

Mark Adams is the founder and President of California Receivership Group (CRG), a firm that has been at the forefront of property receivership for over 25 years. Under his leadership, CRG has successfully rehabilitated 415 properties across California, Tennessee, and Texas, facilitating $62.5 million in rehab loans, all of which have been repaid. His work has improved the condition of these properties and created approximately 1,500 jobs, contributing to local economies and providing much-needed revitalization to distressed communities. CRG focuses on the legal process of receivership, which allows courts to take control of properties facing serious issues such as unsafe conditions, health hazards, or code violations. Adams and his team have applied this legal tool to various complex property challenges, including fire-damaged buildings, hoarding situations, illegal cannabis grow houses, and hazardous material contamination. Through receivership, he has secured these properties, initiated necessary cleanup efforts, and overseen their rehabilitation. This process ensures that the properties are restored to safe, functional conditions, benefiting the surrounding communities and improving the overall quality of life. In addition to his work in California, Adams expanded CRG’s services to Texas and Tennessee. In 2019, he founded Texas Receivership Group (TxRG) and Tennessee Receivership Group (TRG), extending his firm’s reach to more cities needing property rehabilitation. Since its creation, TxRG has completed two appointments in Dallas, while TRG recently finished its 36th property in Memphis. This expansion reflects his mission to bring his receivership model to more communities, helping them solve the issues caused by abandoned, unsafe, or neglected properties.
