Quentin Geczy, based in London, attended Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and later pursued studies at the University of Sydney Medical School for two years. He plans to finish his medical education in Europe, where he also seeks to explore opportunities in consulting and finance with a focus on healthcare. While navigating the medical school application process, Quentin stays engaged in health and education through research and tutoring. He leads a successful private education business that helps students in STEM subjects and guides them through university admissions. Additionally, he is building an online company that offers educational courses and materials for UK high school exams (GCSEs, A-Levels), medical exams (BMAT, UCAT, GAMSAT, MCAT), and the SAT. After completing high school in Australia, Geczy moved to the United States in 2016 to study science and economics. He earned a Bachelor's in Molecular Cellular Development Biology (MCDB) and Economics from Yale University. During his studies, he developed skills in working with large datasets using R and applied theoretical models to solve complex problems in economics, finance, and accounting. Quentin’s MCDB studies were an extension of his pre-med coursework, culminating in a thesis titled “Psychedelic Renaissance in Psychiatry.” In this work, he examined how the 5-HT2A receptor’s interaction with psychedelics can promote neuroplasticity. This topic has influenced modern approaches to treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. His Economics and MCDB studies have provided Geczy with a unique, multidisciplinary education that equips him with strong analytical and evidence-based clinical reasoning skills. These fields also helped him develop the communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
