Abbotsford School District offers Summer Explorers Program This summer Abbotsford School District again offered a K-8 Summer Enhancement Program called Summer Explorers which ran July 4-21 in 5 school sites around Abbotsford. This program is open to any interested students in Abbotsford and parents can register their children online on the school district website in May. This program aims to provide engaging opportunities for students to practice important literacy and numeracy skills while taking part in activities focused on exploration and inquiry

Summer Explorers provides opportunities for students to extend the structure and learning of school while making new friends and spending time outdoors. This program culminates in a celebration of learning for each class that parents are invited to take part in.
The celebration of learning held by the Summer Explorers staff and students at the Dave Kandal Elementary School site ended with an impromptu dance party led by Educational Assistant Kam Kooner. Mrs. Kooner invited the audience to come up and celebrate the students’ hard work by joining them in some Bhangra dance to a song by Diljit Dosanjh, Vibe.

Ask an expert People living with arthritis want to be able to do the things they need or want to do with confidence. To help make that happen, work with an occupational therapist. Known as OTs, occupational therapists are licensed health professionals who help people affected by injuries and various conditions. They are skilled in working with you to develop strategies and adaptations to perform everyday tasks and achieve your goals. PAGE 35
