Chartered on December 10, 2011, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Psi Pi Omega Chapter was established with the mission to serve all mankind in the Southern Treasure Coast region it represents.


The purpose of the strategic plan is to define the results Psi Pi Omega seeks to accomplish in alignment with Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Mission and in fulfillment of its Vision. The sorority’s mission and vision drive the goals, objectives and activities of Chapter planning. The Plan answers a fundamental question-where do we want to be and what are we doing to get there?
The plan serves as Psi Pi Omega Chapter’s primary planning guide, which focuses on long-term goals, objectives and action plans. The Goals are specific, measurable, and time-defined and they also emphasize results, not process.
The Plan is developed to cascade from the Basileus to Committee Chairmen to Committee Members and ultimately to the entire chapter.
The Strategic Plan represents the “voice” of Psi Pi Omega Chapter members for desired outcomes they would like to achieve over the next three (3) years.
Mission Statement
The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards; to promote unity and friendship among college women; to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature; to maintain a progressive interest in college life; and to be of service to all mankind.
Vision Statement
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the premier unique sisterhood of distinguished professional women united to serve humankind.
Value Statement
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., has 14 Guiding Principles. Psi Pi Omega Chapter determined that the following 5 guidelines to be the most important to this body. They are as follows in ranked order:
1. Sisterhood- Our behavior will cultivate an atmosphere in which women are encouraged to achieve their highest goals, hopes and dreams
2. Unity- Our performance will foster unity and friendship among people of all races, gender, ages, nationalities, religion and cultural backgrounds
3. Communication- Our organization will foster an environment of effective communication
4. Leadership- Our activities will advance the training and development of leaders
5. Family- Our initiatives will enhance family life
Analysis And Key Findings
In the last quarter of 2020, the Strategic Planning Committee drafted questions based on the 2018-2020 Strategic Plan as a tool to solicit input from the members of Psi Pi Omega Chapter for the 2021-2023 Strategic Plan. The 2018-2020 Strategic Plan was then forwarded to each member of the chapter for review prior to a committee member conducting an one on one interview. After the interviews were completed, the data was compiled and the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) were listed as follows:

Strategic Planning Action
The data collected from the members and the SWOT analysis was used to identify the 2021-2023 Strategic Planning goals. These goals should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely (SMART) and will serve the ultimate goal of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Psi Pi Omega Chapter of providing service to all mankind.
❖ Specific- The more special the goal is, the more likely the chapter is to achieve it.
❖ Measurable- There must be a way to determine whether or not the chapter is making progress toward the goal and there needs to be a way to clearly define the movement when the goal is met.
❖ Attainable- Will the goal lead to the desired outcomes? Does the goal accomplish the mission of the organization or contribute meaningfully to the mission?
❖ Realistic- Do we have time, resources to meet the goals?
❖ Time Specific- Tying a goal to a deadline is critical. Goal achievement is linked to the deadline.
GOAL 1 Membership: By December 31, 2023 Psi Pi Omega will work to protect loss of current membership from internal forces as well as broaden and diversify the membership to 50 members by retaining, reclaiming and conducting membership intake.
GOAL 2 Program Execution: By December 2023 Psi Pi Omega will be known throughout the Southern Treasure Coast area as a top community service organization by collaborating with other organizations and increasing community participation while reducing expenses and increasing revenue streams via fundraising through Project Pink and Green Foundation.
GOAL3 Sisterly Relations: By December 2023 the Sisterly Relations Committee of Psi Pi Omega will have incorporated sisterly relations activities that strengthen the sisterly bonds among our members.
GOAL4 Leadership: By December 2023 Psi Pi Omega members will be well trained women ready to lead the Chapter in meeting our targets, executing our programs and serving the community.
