Hernandez also spent one season as an assistant coach h of of the the women’s basketball team at Adelphi University in Garden City, ty,, N. ty N.Y. Y. While with the Panthers, he was very active with the program’s m’ss rreecruiting and scouting. Hernandez received his bachelor’s degree in recreation n ffrom rom ro m Shaw University, where he also served as a student manager ager ag e for or the men’s basketball team. As a manager, he assisted with individual ndi dividu dual al workouts and player development, filmed games for the coaching chin ing g staff, staff st aff, was solely responsible for perimeter player development and d tutored tuto tore red players in a number of subjects. Hernandez also served as a coach and counselor at several mp and basketball camps, including Coach K’s Duke Basketball Camp Gary Williams’ Basketball Camp.
