The Guide “A MODERN HOODIE WOULD’VE BEEN GREAT”

JÖRGEN SEGER views the uniform as a tool. It makes his work easier when he’s out delivering goods in and around Gävle, because he doesn’t have to introduce himself. The blue attire serves as his business card. Everyone knows who he is and why he’s there.

“The uniform functions as protective clothing. Especially the shoes with their steel toecaps, which can actually prevent your toes from being crushed. When you drive a truck, you also get really dirty, so it’s good to wear robust clothing that is resilient.” What item of clothing do you think is the most important?

“The protective shoes and a wind- and waterproof coat. Sometimes you step outside to find it’s pouring rain, and then it’s great to have a really good shell jacket. It’s a real mood-killer being cold, wet and miserable.” What, if anything, do you think is missing from the current uniform?

“I wouldn’t mind a hoodie. One in a more modern style with a zipper that sits higher up on your neck. I also think it’d be good to be able to replace the reflectors and do something about the pants, which are a bit thick and bulky.”
