PLCCA INC

Founded in 1968, the Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action, Inc. (PLCCA) is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization driven by the mission to provide "a hand up, not a hand out." Serving low-income residents across Cook County's Proviso and Leyden Townships, the municipality of Norridge, and the broader Chicago metropolitan area, PLCCA advocates for social change and self-sufficiency. Through over 30 community need-based programs spanning children & youth development, medication assisted recovery, employment & workforce training, behavioral health services, and intervention & prevention services we empower individuals and families with the tools, education, and resources needed to thrive.
