Farewell, Cora!
After 32 wonderful years, Cora Wood is hanging up her recreation hat(s) and retiring from the Piedmont Recreation Department. Over the years, Cora has helped countless residents in Piedmont and beyond. It often feels as though there is only one degree of separation from Cora; everyone seems to know her!
Cora is the warm smile that greets you when you walk through the doors of PRD, the cheerful voice on the other end of the phone, and the steady presence who has helped make everything we do feel a little more welcoming and magical.
Cora will be deeply missed by her colleagues and the entire community; we are also thrilled for her as she begins this well-earned new chapter and enjoys more time with her grandchildren.
From all of us at PRD, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cora for the care, dedication, and joy she has shared over the past 32 years. Her contributions have made PRD and the entire Piedmont community a better place to live, work, and, most importantly, play!
We invite community members to stop by PRD or reach out to Cora to share their well wishes, celebrate her remarkable career, and wish her a fond farewell.
